Did you know that roulette was invented around the 17th - 18th century in France? Yeah, and from that time to today, it has gone through many variations and we can now play it online. Whether you are a fan of the simple table roulette game or the more exciting live roulette, you are sure this is a game of luck! Playtech and Evolution gaming have taken roulette to new heights with so many additions and I cannot wait to play them all. Also, Pragmatic Play has developed a version of roulette called Mega Roulette. Exciting times to be a roulette game lover indeed.

Red Door Roulette is a live-casino roulette variant developed by Evolution Gaming. It starts like normal European roulette (numbers 0–36), but with a twist, certain straight-up numbers are randomly marked as bonus numbers and can carry multipliers.

How the Multiplier Works-

1. Bonus Numbers & Keys

At the start of a round, 3–15 numbers are randomly selected as "bonus numbers." These are shown on the roulette grid with a key indicator. Some of those bonus numbers get random multipliers (typically 2× to 20×) attached.

2. Landing and Payouts

If the ball lands on a number you’ve bet Straight Up: If it’s not a bonus number, you get the standard Red Door payout (19:1). If it is a bonus number, you go through the red door into a bonus game.

3. What the Multiplier Does

If the bonus number had an attached multiplier (e.g., 10×), that multiplier carries into the bonus game.

When the bonus wheel spins, all multiplier outcomes on that wheel are first multiplied by that key’s multiplier.

The Bonus Wheel- it's like "Crazy Time" style

Once you trigger the bonus: you spin a 64-segment bonus wheel (the same type used in Crazy Time).

The wheel includes various multipliers and "Double" segments. If the wheel stops on a multiplier, that’s your bonus multiplier applied to your bet. If it stops on "Double," all the multipliers on the wheel are doubled and the wheel respins, this can repeat until max multipliers are reached.

Maximum possible multiplier combinations can go up to around ×4,000 on the bonus wheel.

I can give you example- you place a straight-up bet on number 18. That number gets selected as a bonus number and assigned a 5× multiplier. The ball lands on 18- you trigger the bonus round and take that 5× with you. In the bonus wheel spin, you land on a 60× multiplier. Your total payout multiplier would be 5 × 60 = 300× your straight-up bet.

Also, some important Notes- the base straight-up payout is reduced (from 35:1 in classic roulette down to 19:1 in Red Door) to fund the bonus system. Only Straight Up bets qualify for bonus triggers. Other bets still pay normally (like splits, red/black) but do not get bonus features. The exact probabilities of the key multipliers and wheel layout aren’t fixed, they’re determined by RNG.

Hope this answer helped a little bit. 🙂
