That's true. We don't have the option to send DMs, but it's one of the features we would like to implement in the future. We currently work on a search bar so you could search for anything written on the forum and then we'd like to have a decent notification system (similar to what you know from social media like FB, IG, TW). Having the option to send DMs without any working notification system wouldn't make sense.
The forum has been launched 9 months ago so it's still in a process of development.
