A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

is it just me or has anyone seen the "not on gamstop casinos" ad when launching p*rnhub. not just that but also when streaming football, movies too. we were all targeted..

hace 4 meses

I have seen the ad on a number of places....no comment if it was Pornhub right enough 😂

hace 4 meses

The problem is we don’t always go looking for them. They share our personal data illegally and spam us endlessly! I don’t think there is any such thing as a safe Non Gamstop casino as a safe and compliant casino would geoblock and not advertise in the UK as they would be aware it is illegal to do so without a UKGC licence. Those that advertise themselves as Non Gamstop can never be trusted as they are immediately confirming they have a complete disregard for the laws and regulations and have no issue breaking them!

hace 4 meses

Casinos which have no licence anywhere in the world are NOT safe! A prominent one mentioned on here - PisStake(Mystake) - have no licence at all anymore and still have all the providers. I urge everyone and anyone who has somehow found these sites ahead of UK ones to immediately stop even thinking about looking.

If you need to play then stick to the top Crypto sites ONLY - do not delve into others. The pain of depositing crypto is a challenge too far for a lot of people.

Anyone depositing on these non-Gamstop sites with debit/credit cards after reading this thread needs their head tested, genuinely.

Because of the endless spam coming my way!

The whole thing is a minefield and the fact these casinos operate day in day out in full view of the authorities (either with no licence at all or in jurisdictions it is clearly illegal to do so) is truly abhorrent.

If I didn’t want to cry so much of it is truly laughable. For instance in Cyprus it is illegal to play slots and casino games online yet Cyprus is a hub for offshore companies being set up en masse to process and launder money for these casino crooks. A recent article claims Cyprus does nothing to stop it as it boosts the coffers of their economy nicely! Although it does also point out it is a ticking time bomb and if the FATF finally decide to take action the laundering PSPs will be torn apart.

The UK is no better allowing all these Ltd Companies from overseas to register in minutes for around £30 with thousands of them using the same postal address which they rent for 50p a year and it’s then classified as a legit business address. There is apparently going to be a crackdown on this soon so hopefully some of these rogue merchant names we are all constantly tracking down from bank statement entries will finally have their day of reckoning🤞

The Dutch gambling regulator has been dishing out large fines to these illegal casinos. If they can do it then why can’t UKGC and others make a call for action and work with other regulators to bring them down? It’s madness. This thread has been running for a year give or take and still the same rogue casino names and payment processors are coming up time and again. Like I say it’s all in plain sight and nothing changes, they get richer and countless more victims have their life’s shattered.

Hi everyone,

After having a good read through this thread, this has spurred me on to try and get a refund from the merchants on my transactions. The two gambling sites I used were Velobet and Donbet, both of which are owned by Santeda International. All I’m getting from emailing those gambling companies is the same robotic responses, almost sounds AI like! The merchants showing on my transactions are;

Dsolpay

Falcora Finance

Transop payment gateway

Pixeleum

Reatcode

Has anyone had any success with these? I think I’ve found the right companies details, all of which I’ve emailed. I’ve only had one response so far from Dsolpay as attached in the image file

I did also try and file chargebacks with my bank (Monzo) under the category of goods not received however I’ve received a really unhelpful response from them saying that I don’t have grounds to chargeback the transactions

guys, here's a site that could be of help in recovering losses. banks are holding back but if you're on gamstop and you've circumvented, you might be entitled to a part refund. I found a lawyer using a similar service - Clinton and Co Legal - Home

I understand that some people can be well meaning and try to help players, but always in situations like this it's good to know how someone is trying to help, if players have to fund it up front and stuff like that, which is often a scam and I saw you wrote that it's free. Offering services and more in a thread like this is probably not the best choice, as every player is dealing with their refunds.

But I would ask you not to post such links and advertise because it is forbidden on our forum and any further attempts may have consequences.

Here are the terms ⬅️

Thank you for your understanding.

I must admit I believe they are right in what they are saying, it is wrong of casino guru.

As an admin though I think you are very good, most other sites would have simply removed comments and banned.

Casinoguru can you please close my account.

I do not wish to argue with you or threaten you but the way this site is run sometimes is questionable and does promote a level of harm. For example in each of your casino reviews it states if the operator holds a licence in the UK or not which often it doesn’t but you then put underneath ‘accepts UK players’ this is unnecessary and unsafe promotion of casinos specifically preying on people registered with Gamstop and you are effectively boosting the marketing of their illegal practices for them.

Your review of MyStake is a classic example of this at a laughable score of 9.5/10 for safety when it has caused extensive harm to many UK Gamstop registered players and continues to do so. Casinoguru are fully aware yet make MyStake look like a shiny safe option on your website.

Another casino review website published this only a few weeks ago which is much more truthful about the damaging tactics of operators like MyStake:

"Best Online Casino Not on GamStop for UK Players" said the advertisement that circulated on GlobalNewswire a few days ago.

What? Are you serious? FFS! Aghast, I recoiled from what I’d just read on my laptop screen – a casino deliberately and blatantly targeting the vulnerable. What sort of company does this? What sort of senior person in a company signs off on this kind of thing? What sort of marketer comes up with the idea?

Appalling, and shameless.

Cynical

To brazenly advertise that your casino is 'not on GamStop' is another level of cynical altogether. Think kind of... freebie drugs at the school gates to get kids hooked. If not quite the same, it's certainly in the same ball park.

Hello.

I can absolutely close your account if that’s what you want, but I’d rather make sure it doesn’t come across the wrong way, because this isn’t about silencing criticism or avoiding difficult conversations anymore.

Let me be clear, and honest, as usual: this isn’t about arguing.

From our side, the core principle is transparency. If someone struggling to control their gambling sees transparency as promotion, that’s not a debate, it’s a clash of perspectives rooted in different experiences. I get it.

We believe players deserve access to all relevant information—including whether a casino accepts players from the UK, regardless of license status. That’s not an endorsement. In fact, the licensing information is right there too, and players can filter our database to only show UKGC-licensed casinos if that’s what they want. No rating, label, or note is meant to encourage someone to bypass Gamstop or any other form of self-exclusion.

We also know, and I say this with full respect, that a player who is already on Gamstop and determined to gamble will very likely find an unlicensed site on their own, often through much worse sources than us. Our approach is to show these casinos through our own rating system, with all the pros and cons included. That system does not currently reflect GameStop-specific criteria, and we understand that might be a limitation for some users.

Still, if an addicted player is determined to play, he will play no matter the information we provide.

If MyStake chooses to present itself as the "Best Online Casino Not on GamStop for UK Players," I fully understand why you find that deeply troubling. But that’s their own messaging; I hear that for the first time now from you. It has absolutely nothing to do with Casino Guru. And if I’m being completely honest, the casino is responding to demand, the very same kind of demand that is reflected in much of this thread. Yes, it’s problematic. But it’s their positioning, not ours.

We’re not in a position to track or respond to short-term casino advertising campaigns. That’s simply beyond our scope. But thank you for bringing this particular example up, because by doing so, you’ve helped make it visible to other players as well. And with that, everyone can make up their own mind—the transparency.

If you still want to go ahead and close your account, I’ll of course take care of it. But I felt your message deserved a proper answer first.

Thank you and I mean that.

If I may add another warning, we are actually aware of a very active group faking more well-known casinos, starting with the owner, which is pretty much the same as Stake, but of course it is a fake owner.... Please be careful and mind this thread:

"Beware, scam casinos are on the rise! Be on the lookout for similar logos, details in this thread👇👇:"

Just in case you would ever spot these scammy sites, avoid them at all costs, please.

Thanks for the compliments, we try to keep things transparent. Sometimes even such attempts can be well-intentioned and someone might have actually managed to save money.

On the other hand, whenever I see something like this I am skeptical, especially considering how many of these things have been done here on the forum and almost 99% of them are scams.

What is important is more information and of course instruction on how it works here.

If it was purely about advertisement and the player continued to do it despite the warnings, then a ban would come.🙂

Jaro, you and Radka are really good admins on here and I do appreciate what you do.

However, I still need to strongly disagree on Mystake's rating. They had a Curacao licence only past a year ago - Curacao tightened things up and made a definition on these "Payment processors must be the name of the casino" and were adamant about it. It is telling the companies who left immediately after this - Santeda and Instantcasino etc all jumped ship to Anjouan temporarily which is, let's be honest, completely lawless. Even then for Santeda they were not welcomed by Anjouan and currently have no licence at all, anywhere!! Mystake have 50+ different merchants processing payments for them and none of them is legitimately allowed to collect funds for gambling - not my words - these are the words of Mastercard and Visa themselves. Add to that the ongoing campaign by Santeda specifically targeting problem gamblers which is in full view for everyone. Yeah sure, they might payout on occasion but the practices are unscrupulous to say the least and its clearly defined fraud. Nobody can go to a licencing body as they don't have one!!! Rogue would be the definition if I was on say Casinomeister.
