A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

Its impossible to access gambling sites that fall outside the UK’s legal jurisdiction, as legitimate operators automatically block UK users with jurisdiction-based warnings. However, many Curaçao-based operators deliberately fail to implement these standard access restrictions. This is highly misleading and can create the false impression that they are licensed by the UKGC. These operators are fully aware their actions breach regulatory expectations, yet they prioritise profit over compliance - a hallmark of fraudulent behaviour.

Could be, yes.

Our point is to prevent similar situations, as you can see in this thread:

https://casino.guru/forum/casinos/magic-win-casino---general-discussion/16#post-200339

Daily, we are forced to read the same stories about scam casinos targeting addicted players from the most regulated countries, mostly from the UK. Those players end up on such sites because the licensees prefer hiding the sites, despite the fact that addicted players will always find the way—but in most cases only the way—without reviews or warnings included. 🙁

This just hurts...

I truly understand how frustrating this topic can be, especially for players who are trying to stay safe or have had negative experiences. And I can only respond to matters we can get involved in.

Just to clarify: we’re not an operator and we don’t provide gambling services. Our role is purely informational. That means we do not control how casinos enforce their geo-blocking or which players they choose to accept. We also don't employ gambling law experts in every country, and we don’t pretend to.

What we try to do is offer as much transparent and up-to-date information as possible. That includes whether a casino holds a license, and if so, from where, and also whether it is not licensed in specific countries like the UK. The goal is to help players make informed decisions, not to promote or hide unlicensed options.

We understand that some players, including vulnerable ones, actively seek ways to bypass restrictions such as Gamstop. This creates a grey zone where the best we can do is inform. Not regulated. Not promoted. Just inform.

Yes, ideally all casinos would implement strict geo-blocking and avoid serving restricted regions. But as you pointed out, some offshore operators don’t follow those standards. That’s a wider issue that goes beyond the scope of an information website like ours.

In the end, we believe that full visibility is better than pretending such casinos don’t exist. If we don’t provide this information, players will still discover those sites elsewhere, but without any context, reviews, or warnings; therefore, our aim is to fill this gap.

Our approach to geoblocks is pretty much the same as it is for restricted countries:

https://casino.guru/fair-gambling-codex-for-casinos#restricted-countries

"Requirements for both 'fair casinos' and 'fair and safe casinos'

For a casino to be classified as a 'fair casino' or a 'fair and safe casino' by our review team, it must not allow players from restricted countries to create an account and play. The check for restricted countries must be done during the account-creation process."

Hope it helps.

Unfortunately, by allowing unrestricted access to UK users, these sites create a false and misleading impression that they are registered with the UKGC. I don’t use Gamstop or have banking blocks in place, so I don’t need to actively seek to bypass restrictions. In fact, it’s quite the opposite I was drawn in under the false belief that these sites were UKGC-regulated simply because they were openly accessible from the UK.

Once you're in, they allow you to register and deposit money without a single restriction, safeguard, or verification process in place. No UKGC-licensed site would permit unchecked spending without conducting proper affordability and identity checks. But by the time you realise this, the damage is often already done.

These sites may offer small initial payouts to build trust and encourage further deposits, a tactic the FCA has recognised as a common scam technique. It’s a sophisticated operation designed to exploit consumers, and there’s much more to it, all of which I have documented in detail.

I am on gamstop

I used to play at golden bet alot, like every day. They treated me well with no wager free spins for a certain amount deposited.

I cashed out £2k without any issues. Many many big amounts after and before.

I'm not going to lie, the casino won and I spent a hell of alot more than I took home.

I eventually self excluded, which was done within 24 hours.

I believe the casino has changed hands since I left.

I was fully aware at the time that it didn't have a UK license, but I didn't care.

They make themselves available to people like us as they know there is a market for it. It sucks I know, but I don't think they are doing anything illegal in particular.

Cut the crap. You’ve been recycling the same fake stories for over a year, just changing the casino names. It’s obvious, and no one’s buying it. If this is what you’re paid to do, your not very good at it.

You've been on here over a year recycling the same nonsense but for different casinos. 🐀

What you talking about?

All of the unlicensed casinos are breaking the law, yes some may be better than others (see some direct refunds Jokabet), but these are criminal enterprises that use tactics to deliberately target vulnerable people. And even if they don’t target people, they still should not be allowing UK players to access or play, and if we

couldnt play we on this forum would likely not be able to gamble.

Ultimately we are all addicts on this forum with major issues as we wouldn’t be here otherwise, the vast majority of people on here will/have relapsed and there is no good outcome from these sites, we play we lose, we hope to chargeback and quit forever, however for some it will be an ongoing cycle but these illegal sites need shutting down. Many of us are not against licensed gambling but these rogue casinos are something different, however this unfortunately leads to people seeing successful chargebacks and thinking it’s a game whereby they may win but if they lose they will get their money back. This forum was never meant to be for that and has driven many helpful people away (myself very soon again)

Exactly this, check any illegal activity investment scams are the same small amounts of money as a return then get you to invest more and they have either ran off with the money or the investment is worthless. No different to a dealer giving the first few hits away for free

Terragaminex and Blogwizzaro don’t contest chargebacks so get them off to your bank

Both linked to terraverse so look at gainkit website and provide that as evidence, see previous messages on this get a steam account and show bank nothing received. You will also note on gainkit website the refund terms and an email address that doesn’t work so again provide that as evidence.

State either no gaming skins for DOTA 2 or you purchased "gain gold" and nothing arrived as shown in steam account.

Money will come back but they will not respond so bank best option, don’t mess on trying and waiting for these merchants

If you look at the main ones who are successful:

BP

Paulmc

Myself

Anonymised Gambler

CryptoG

TheGambler

We have all not messed on waiting months for replies from merchants, we have formulated good arguments either on goods not received or incorrect MCC. Yes you need to provide the bank with a lot of information and they may reject but you have to follow the process and keep on with it, there is no magic wand that states if you say this the banks will assist. If the bank rejects find out why, complain and keep researching it is hard at times but more and more are coming on here moaning when they don’t get the result they want but are literally not putting any thought into it.

Its likely youve been planted on this site to make illegally operating casinos in the UK sound legit. Your wording is very fake. You are contributing to the scam and misleading victims into using the casinos. Poor show

Hello all, viewed this post for ages and first post. Some great info so thanks. Been on gamstop for years

I have over £30,000 of illegal merchant gambling transactions within the last year to 18 months including -

slotmonster.com using numerous payment merchants including falcora finance, cybgame, 123templates, Onlndg Bb, Fresh Bet, Fomiline UAB, Finnart.ao and Transferop Payment gateway. This equate to around £16,000 of deposits in the last year through my monzo bank and Mastercard.

Mystake.com using payop mostly. Have emailed them for all info they hold on me via a FOI request they said they cannot divulge anything. Around £10-£15k over the last year.

Dont know where to start really? First stop maybe Falcora Finance? Can somebody assist if possible or think I have any chance of anything? Is there a time limit on what chargebacks you can do?

thanks lads

Yeh you have 4 months (120 days) to make a chargeback. This is from the date of the transaction.

Finnart they will say you bought nfts. You can go goods not received. Be careful though as they will likely provide fabricated receipts. That's the kind of extent these scams go too. The casinos don't just use third part payment processor to bypass laws but the payment processors themselves literally make up receipts as part of the fraudulent scheme/network. They are all just one big scammy family

Any bank transfer payments will not be refunded no matter how hard you try. Payop and Falcora finance, no one had been refunded from them here
