The operator Gammix got a fine of almost €20m for offering their services in The Netherlands despite being warned about this by the Dutch Gambling Authority.

Earlier some other operators got fines too

Fact is that multiple Curacao and Maltese based casinos still operate in The Netherlands after October 1st 2021 which is prohibited by Dutch legislation. Casinos that breach this can expect more penalties and players that got duped from these casinos are entitled to claim a full refund back based on Dutch legislation given the circumstance that the agreement is illegal/void.

While Casino Guru has a different opinion it might be a good thing to keep this topic open for discussion of the illegal casino operators and penalties they get from the Dutch Gambling Authority.

Hey, I see you are continuing your investigative work and thanks for the information. I think the casinos will think twice about providing services illegally in countries where they shouldn't, if they get such high fines. Especially if they are warned about this, I do not understand why they continue to offer their services.

Thanks again for the info. 😕

I don't think it would be a problem to leave the conversation open. Also, I don't consider it right for casinos to operate illegally somewhere they can't. This kind of news should be a deterrent for casinos not to do it in the future, because it certainly costs a lot of money.

Another casino operator is receiving a penalty for operating illegal in The Netherlands after several warning from the Dutch Gambling Authority.

This time it is Casbit Group NV which has several casino brands.

It is a good thing to see that the Dutch Gambling Authority is doing some effort to prevent illegal operators in The Netherlands as this only harms dutch players since you will get often less responsible gaming tools which should be a industry wide standard.

PS: Their Curacao license got suspended which means that Gaming Curacao probably does not want to be involved with their operations as it can affect the Master License Holder too.

Could this be the game changer?

I considered Curacao licensing companies to be less interested in direct interventions, yet it seems they have grown more engaged.
