It looks vaguely familiar. I can't quite put my finger on it, though..file

Just for comparison..

Casino Guru: file

Casino "Mentor": file

Upon seeing the very obvious.. "similarities", we'll call them.. I decided to do a little digging.

That's when I found this: file

What's that? Two different ratings for the same casino? How could that be?!!

Well, the first review is the one players will see when linked to Casino "Mentor" from the casino, giving the player a higher sense of trust and credibility than they might normally get for a specific casino.

The second review is the one players will find if they actually search for the casino using the search function on the main page.

I'm not one for talking shiz and spreading rumours, but if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck.. well, you know the rest.

Shady business practice involves shady businesses, and most shady businesses will try anything to rip people off.

I don't know how deep this goes, but personally, I'd stay away from the "mentor" and any casino that's buying fake "reviews".

Hope this helps someone!

I heard of it but never explored there, I mostly rely on casino guru and askgamblers, I suppose guru and mentor are related or the software provider for both is the same

I had posted a reply to my initial post, but for whatever reason, it hasn't appeared yet.

I hope it doesn't get lost in the mix, as I went on to explain why I'd stay away from sites like that.

Hopefully Radka can chime in and tell me what happened to my post!

Edit: My post has finally arrived.

I really hope this helps some people realize that it's not just "scam" casinos you need to look out for, as there are a ton of "affiliates" out there who would send their own mothers to the neighbourhood bookie if it meant they could make a few bucks on the deal.

No matter the website, ALWAYS read the user reviews. While they, too, can be bought and fake, every little piece of due diligence will help you make good choices in deciding where to spend your money.

Hello there,

I'm here to explain 🙂. In the recent past, we experienced huge spam attacks daily here on the forum, each post had to be checked manually in order to make sure that all spam was deleted correctly. I won't lie, it was horrible 😀. So Daniel came up with a solution. He made up what we call an antispam web, where all "suspicious" posts are held until all are manually checked and then visible on the forum. Tons of keywords were made to ensure all those fake driving licenses, voodoo tinctures, and spells will not be visible directly. This is what happened to your post - I approve it the moment I saw it in the system.

We do our best to make sure that the forum stays clear of advertisements and link-building posts 🙂, but as you can see, sometimes such a post like yours can be captured. Don't worry I'm checking the system daily except on weekends.

I had kind of figured it was in the "waiting for approval" pile, but I also assumed that the initial post was there, too.

When I saw the first reply and noticed that my follow-up post was missing, I was kind of worried that maybe it wouldn't let me post a reply until the initial post was approved, or that I had mistakenly pressed cancel or something instead of actually posting it lol

Thanks for the reply, Radka!

Happy to help 🙂

I'm noticing now that I failed to reply about the Casino Mentor completely... I'm sorry.

Well, we know about them, this group also copied our social medial profiles in the past, so Daniel reported them. If I can recall correctly, we also raised a claim for sort of stealing our company's trademarks and so on.

Let's just say that the success takes its toll, and we appreciate every and each one of you for taking the effort and digging up anything about the casino you intend to play in - before doing so 🙂. That's what matters, the source can be tricky of course, the net is full of fake reviews and paid adverts, so we try to be seen as one of the trustable sites in the industry.

Hello,

we are not connected, I can assure you - it is actually a group from Asia, as far as I know. I'm sure that the goal is quite simple though, made a clone of a well-known and trustable site and then take advantage of the similarities. It works the same with casinos. 🙁

From time to time, we find fraudulent LinkedIn profiles as well, it's annoying, but the virtual environment is full of opportunities for parasites, I'd say 😎.
