We need some more details to help, you've given us very little.

What companies were used for the transactions? What MCC was used? and how did Wise go from charging back to issuing you a CIFAS? How did you approach the dispute, was it goods not received etc?

What MCC was used? What did Wise say before and after you were issued with a CIFAS marker?

Just got this from my bank when trying to raise a dispute on my credit card....

Translated to english:

"This is a type of case that we have seen more and more recently.

Our decision has been made after consulting our legal department as it appears to be a complex scheme with many companies involved. It appears to be about casinos without a Swedish gaming license from the UK. The basis for our decision not to provide compensation in these cases is that we cannot demonstrate that these companies were part of the fraud, and that you approved the transactions yourself. It may be that some, most, or even all of the companies used by the fraudsters were used without the companies' knowledge, as a tool to move money or buy goods.

According to Mastercard's regulations as we interpret the rules, we have no right to demand money back from the companies when the transaction has been approved with Bank-ID, and even if we thought we had that right, we would not have been able to know whether that claim had really been made against fraudsters, but whether it would only be made as a claim against a third party who is completely unaware that they were used as part of a fraud.

It is also very possible that the companies have the correct company description based on what they sell.

However, we have chosen not to proceed as we assume that the complaint will not be approved by Mastercard. We have chosen to refuse new transactions to all companies that we suspect may be connected to this. The transactions that you approved have gone to the companies that have been stated. It is not possible to claim that you did not know that the payments went to CURRYCUDI because that is what you approved when you shopped. You are responsible for ensuring that the payee is correct. In the case of making deposits to a casino with a certain name, the money should also go to a name linked to that casino. Another aspect (in general) is that we cannot know what has happened to money deposited into a gaming account. We have no insight into whether the money has been used for actual gaming, and if so, what you are entitled to get back (winnings etc).

Hi guys, back to the party now. I've had successful refunds from kinghills, vipzino and memo casino so far all directly back from the casinos. I've had the bank raise chargebacks for 1k in 50 transactions to nikotpf (various end names) all of which were raised successfully and temp refunds applied. This happened last week. However I've raised with finnart through natwest and artstrid both of which have been rejected due to potentially not being genuine. I spoke to the bank who said its due to volume and it being similar things. I've raised tbe niko ones under incorrect MCC codes and was transparent that it was illegal foreign casinos. I just want to check if anyone has had this happen to them as well I.e some get approved but others immediately rejected? Due to what I'm thinking is tbe volume coming through? I'm about to send them all my correspondence via email to challenge them and hopefully get them raised however I'm a bit scared to do it..... any thoughts or similar situations with natwest at all? Also just to note I vancelled my card on the 18th Jan as I was scared it had been compromised online and this was premature on some of the refunds from the casinos coming through however I got some more redirected refunds through today on my new card so panic over! I thought I might have squandered those coming in but apparently not! Any thoughts and advice welcome please before I challenge them by email

Hey could you help me with how you raised the chargebacks for Niko, I had the same but the other way round. Chargebacks accepted for Finnart but rejected for Niko.

So the first batch I did was with niko and I was told this was elegro who owned these payments... they were the bulk of mine so the highest amount I spent all through niko so I attempted these first naturally. These got approved as maybe it was because it was My first attempt with the bank? The next lot I put through were instantly rejected (finnart) as if is triggered something with the bank automatically so when j called them they told me to submit my evidence to their email.addresss which they provided me with to challenge it basically... whcij is what I've gathered now but I'm scared to send.... they didn't want any evidence for niko but I'm presuming this is because it was my first attempt at using chargebCk Scheme... does that sound similar to you? Do u bank with natwest

How did you manage to get the casinos to agree to refunds?

I sent the template that was on here all about incorrect mcc codes and it's a violation of mastercard regulations under code 4849. It worked instantly. Memo vipzino are part of the same group and they agreed that the codes used by the merchant should match and they didn't like that either so they agreed to refund me. I was persistent by email explaining the regulations and they knew if I went chargeback I'd likely win so they refunded me instead. Have u tried emailing with the wording from the forum on here.

Wise just blocked everything, now can't even log into the account. I read on another forum that I have to write an official complaint to Wise, and explain I haven't committed fraud, what should I say?

Where do I see the MCC code? I submitted goods not received, and haven't mentioned the wrong MCC.

I said goods not received, I haven't mentioned the word casino, yet I presume they reported me.

They should have sent some correspondence i.e. that they were closing the account, that it had been flagged for a CIFAS marker etc. You would have to ask Wise for the MCC, goods not received is all good as long as they used an incorrect MCC, as technically, the transaction would have been for something else and not gambling, if they did things by the book and the processor was in fact acting in a proper manner, using the correct MCC, then that's where they may have flagged your account for the CIFAS marker. Best bet would be to try the official complaint and maybe try pull some information regarding the MCC and even the processor via Wise, as that's pivotal to most disputes.
