Bongo.gg - scammy or scammers?

I just deposited 50 € by credit card and won 400 € and wanted to cash in. To bad - they could only pay me via Astropay or with a very special shitcoin that my cryptoprovider ( Exodus ) does not provide. And I had to deposit a minimum of 40 € extra for them to do this. Or I could request a SEPA/IBAN payout, but there was a minimum of 500 €.

So please beware! Unless you have Astropay or are playing big - you will not get paid.

Well, guess what happened? While churning the 40 € that I was forced to deposit (you had to play through the 40 € before requesting a payout) I won and got to 700 €.

I then requested a SEPA/IBAN payout and then the whole «security-check»-cirkus started. In addition to all the usual documents ( passport, photo of creditcard used, ID-card, proof of adress etc. ) they insisted that I took a selfie while holding my ID-card.

This was almost impossible to do because if you try to use an iPhone to selfie the iPhone will focus on your face and the ID-card will be out of focus 😂 But after mailing them seven(!) selfies they finally accepted it.

This was on Friday, so I can understand that I haven’t got any SEPA/IBAN payout. But I have not gotten any confirmation that they have accepted my Security-check, despite asking.

So - is it worth it to keep this case open or should I accept that Bongo.gg is a scam?

Now they tell me that they haven’t got any emails from me. The day after they confirmed that they had sent the documents to the «finance department». Not looking good. filefile

Nothing really shows us that this should be a bad casino. Actually I'd say the opposite. Only one unresolved complaint, the rest was successfully resolved. I'd say it should be a legit casino.

That sounds promising!

They did write that they had found my first mail and was sorry for the delay and that they would get back to me as soon as they had reviewed them.

I do find it strange however that they only could pay out in some obscure cryptocoin or vis Astropay and could only do so after i had deposited 40 € more via Astropay/crypto. Or have to get to 500 for a bank transfer. I’m sure this was not stated in their terms.

Hello,

it's usual that to get your payment option verified you have to use it for a deposit first.

It's just the payment option verification and should be done for each different payment option you use for the first time. However, I wonder what could be verified using crypto.

those 500 you mentioned are supposed to be the withdrawal limit, or fee, please?

But if you deposited via Astropay, then I guess the logic step is to withdraw back to Astropay. That's how it usually works in online casinos. You withdraw back using the same method.

I’ll answer your posts in one:

I deposited with credit card, but since they can’t pay back to the credit card I had to withdraw using another method - and the two options they offered was via Astropay or crypto. And I had to make a deposit of 40 € / 400 NOK for them to do that.

They also offered IBAN/bankteansfer but you needed a minimum of 500 € / 5000 NOK on your balance in order to do that. There is no fee on the withdrawal.

In order to withdraw my 400 € / 4000 NOK winnings I had to play through the 40 € / 400 NOK that I deposited via Astropay or crypto and while doing that I was lucky and won apx. 300 € more and got to a total of 700 € / 7000 NOK on my balance.

I therefore asked for the balance to be paid via IBAN/bank, since I was now above the 500 € / 5000 NOK limit for IBAN/bank-transfer. That was ok for them and I am awaiting processing. So all in all I was lucky and this all ended well - if the bank transfer goes through that is 😀

I get it now. Thank you.

I must say that to me this part seems a bit unfair: "In order to withdraw my 400 € / 4000 NOK winnings I had to play through the 40 € / 400 NOK that I deposited via Astropay or crypto"

You were enforced to use this different payment option simply because it had been impossible to use the first you had chosen. Still, the wagering was applied as well.

It's good you were so lucky. 🙂

I get everything you say, but one thing makes me really angry. You deposit via card and they can't send the winnings back to it - OK. They give you the option to withdraw through Astropay - fine. You have to deposit via Astropay so they can send the winnings there - makes sense, they need to have your Astropay registered in their system so they do it automatically through the deposit.

But how the f**k is it possible that they require you to wager the deposit? You didn't deposit in order to play. You deposited in order to withdraw. There should be no wagering requirement applied to this kind of deposit, since it's a different occasion compared to standard player deposits.
