Hey, I know this game and when I played it only as a demo version, so I probably had a similar outcome. When the frenzy came, the fish were with small wins, and vice versa when the fish came with bigger wins and there were more of them, so no frenzy. But unfortunately that's how slots work and somewhere it might be harder to win or just unlucky, but I wouldn't see anything inherently wrong with that, as the casino always has an edge over the player. That's why I prefer not to play in casinos, because I know that I wouldn't be lucky. 

If the casino told you that it has no control over the outcome, then it's true. It has no control over it, so it's sad, but unfortunately you didn't win. 🙁
