Hi, my son recently lost all the money that me and his dad gave him + what he made in the last few years on Stake. It got him depressed, and he is getting help now.

So, my son recently got into gambling through people who are streaming it on social media and decided to try it too, he knew he was addicted so he asked them to block him from the site and that's what they did. Unfortunately he opened a new account and sent them a picture of an exited university badge for KYC, of course they didn't approve it but they gave him the permission to deposit, and even after he deposited and lost 50k they didn't ask him to complete the KYC properly, they didn't ask any questions.

Is there anything we can do to get a refund??

Photoshopped university badge*

I forgot to mention he is 16 years old.

Hello,

Such situations are always very painful, and I think you're really brave to talk about that openly.

Seeking immediate care for your son was the best call. I wish him inner strength to fight the struggles.

Regarding the second account KYC process, would you mind describing the whole event for me?

The thing is that the KYC is usually triggered by the withdrawal request, but what you described sounds differently. Did your son attempt to verify the account on his own, or did the support ask him to present some documents? I would not expect a university badge among the required documents. You also mentioned the casino did not handle the KYC process properly, and I think knowing the full details might help us understand what you mean by that.

Just recently I was having a conversation with another mom in a similar situation. If you're interested in getting in touch, I guess you can try here 👈

In my opinion, sharing helps.

As I know to make a deposit on stake you have to be Verified lvl 2, That means that you have to complete KYC.

My son found a website where you can edit some weird badges, and he used one of them, It was a university badge they denied it because they said it’s not a government document. But they gave him the option to deposit anyway.

my son was able to withdraw and deposit large amounts without any problem.

40,000 USD is a lot of money. I would like to know if you can help me get at least some of it back. Thank you!

Let me clarify further after checking with my son.

He had $47,000 on his wallet. (Some of that money was probably money that he made from gambling)

He lost $21,000 of his own money according to checks with the sites.

$2000 on Shuffle.com (They never asked him to approve he is above 18+)file

$19,000 On stake.com On 3 different accounts.

1st acc that he never completed kyc on (-$1500) file

2nd acc that he sent them a university badge and the denied it (-$16,000)file

He lost -$38,723 on the previous statistics but now it says -$16,000

3rd acc he sent money from the 2nd acc to the 3rd to gamble (-$500) file

4th acc they never asked him to approve he is above 18 (-$1000) file

after he lose he admitted he was underage but they refused to refund.

Im not sure if the math is right. I will provide some proofs

Tried my best to make it clear.

As you can see he was very addicted, Every time he blocked himself he came back with a different account to gamble. They did nothing to stop/help him. although he is under the age of 18.

Let me know If we can get some of that back!

Thank you in advance

Hello,

I understand you're just trying to find a way to resolve the damage done. I wish I had a solution.

From the cold logic perspective, the most basic rule each person adheres to by creating the very first account is that the person is not a minor. Not to mention the multiple account breach.

I did reduce the situation to the bone, I'm aware of that.

You may try to present this situation to our mediators by submitting a complaint against casinos. There is, however, a fair chance they won't be able to help your claim. Yet it is something you can try for free right here 👈

The other situation I presented earlier souds pretty much the same to me, so I hope it would give you the idea of the limited possibilities. 🙁

Are you absolutely certain it was your child that accessed the account and lost the money? Or was it maybe you that did so and you are trying to find a way to try to claim your loss back?

Eso realmente tiene sentido para mí.

You are fully responsible for any activity conducted on your account, regardless of the age of the individual using it. The casino relies on the personal details registered to the account to verify compliance with age restrictions. If the registered details indicate that the account holder is over 18, the casino has acted in accordance with its obligations and cannot be held liable.

However, if an individual under the age of 18 successfully registered an account using their own details and engaged in gambling, this would constitute an entirely different matter, potentially involving regulatory violations.
