They have a duty of care as all gambling sites have. There needs to be a game play interrupt etc there should be a trigger when players deposit a certain amount of money

Oh, so what should be the limit at which the casino would alert you ? I think there could be a lot of such warnings. And I haven't heard that it should be a duty yet.
Anyway, we'll see where your complaint goes and if it can be resolved. I'll be curious.

They are trying to say my first account wasn’t verified which is a lie and there was never a dob entered…. Even though you need to be 18 to gamble 🤣🤣 they won’t admit fault and casino guru will probably side with them and close my complaint- two months of slow replies wasted

I've seen it in your complaint. I was wondering if you check with this casino to see if there is any email that you did it successfully. Is there such a thing? Maybe you could have it and that would basically be proof for you. But that's just my thought that crossed my mind.
Anyway, we'll see how it goes and what Michael finds out. I hope it will all be resolved fairly.

They don’t send confirmation emails they tick it’s verified on your account and at the time it isn’t something I’d screenshot, they don’t think anyone would feel the need at the time

No Jaro ,eso no es la música del futuro En España y en otros muchos países si pides el cierre de la cuenta por adicción al juego no te dejan volver abrir otra, nada más que introduces tu nombre y tu primer apellido no te dejan acceder esto son casinos legales,lo otro solo lo permiten casinos con fines sospechosos.

This is a good thing, but most casinos don't have such a system and it would certainly be great if someone who had already self-excluded or mentioned gambling addiciton couldn't re-register and as soon as they entered their personal information the system would simply evaluate that it was not possible.
So if that's how it works in your country I would stick to the casinos where I'm sure it will be enforced.

I would agree Jaro but unfortunately in my country I am Registered on Gamstop and I can’t gamble so as a "gambling addict" you go looking for sites and ways around it and land at these kind of rogue casinos which shouldn’t exist. There should be a worldwide standard especially if they are allowed to accept UK players.

Yes, I certainly understand that at that time you would not have thought that this problem would arise. So we'll see where Michal gets to, and we certainly don't need to be in cahoots with the casino, so there's no need to say such things. Whatever the outcome, it is always clearly explained what is behind the decision of the complaint team. We wouldn't do it for the players if we needed to side with casinos.

And that's exactly the problem, that where it doesn't work like that, the players try to get around it. It would be good to have some sort of standard but every country approaches gambling differently and I think that's the main stumbling block why it's not like that. In some countries gambling is strictly guarded and in others it is not, so it would be hard to find a consensus. 🤔🤷♂️

Unfortunately, not all casinos take responsible gambling seriously. I hate to say it but it is true and I have encountered it more than once. I would say that would be one of the first things I would check at a casino and therefore if they have any responsible tools. You can't prevent everything and even in a good casino you can have a problem and vice versa even in a bad casino you can have a good experience.

Contact them and tell them that they have processed payments from your bank account illegally. These have been sent to an unlicensed/unregulated online casino which is committing a UK criminal offence by transacting with the UK. If you check the banks own T£Cs it will likely say that they don’t accept accounts that are to do with gambling. It will also say that they will have to be legally able to trade with the country they have done business with ? Which clearly they aren’t. Good luck

Yes, if casinos don't respect such important things then I don't think they have a good future. But you always have to look at it from both sides because there are often players who claim for example that they self-excluded and in the end we find out that for them the self-exclusion was that they wrote in the chat that they didn't like the site. That's why our team is trying to resolve everything fair and square. I know that sometimes it's not the most pleasant thing for the players, especially when the decision is against them, but if the casinos really don't take things like this seriously, then we're not cool with it.
And that's why I would recommend not to play in such casinos, so that players can avoid similar issues. 👍

Llevas toda la razón Jaro pero yo he pedido la autoexclusión por adicción al juego en casinos por chats y nunca más me han permitido abrir otra cuenta con mis datos estando informados todo lo demás sobra esos son casinos legales que verdaderamente se preocupan del juego responsable y sus jugadores no velobet.com.

In that case, I'm glad you came across such casinos. But I'm sorry for your problem and I hope you'll get it all under control and won't play in casinos. For me, it's a waste of money that I would have spent on something else.
